I am someone who seeks to integrate the values of empathy, creativity, healing, and community in whatever work that I pursue.

Empathy
In all the roles I pursue, I seek to understand others by placing a lot of importance on empathy. I find this value to be integrated into my design & research process, where I am motivated to best address the needs of others by exhibiting values of care & understanding.
Heal
Whether it be through design, research, teaching, or mentorship, I am drawn to roles that heal.
I've experienced providing healing in all sorts of ways, from being a nursing assistant in a clinical setting to applying user research methodologies to chronic pain management interfaces.

Community
In Filipino culture, "Bayanihan" is the value of being community-oriented. I am driven by "Bayanihan" to serve others around me through the roles that I pursue. Tying into #2, I seek to provide healing at the community level.

Creativity
Life is a canvas that we slowly paint each day, and I cannot imagine being the "Athena" that I am without art and creative work.
The art I create, which includes producing, creating, arranging, and composing music, has allowed me to create connections and community with others around the world.
